Dr Whisper Maisiri 

Lecturer in Engineering Management 

 

As Course Leader for the MSc Engineering Management program at UoP London, Whisper oversees curriculum development, quality assurance, and student engagement to ensure alignment with academic standards and industry expectations.

He liaises with the Academic Director, Principal, Academic and Student Administrators, External Examiners, and the equivalent Course Leader in Portsmouth to maintain a collaborative and cohesive approach. Whisper manages assessments, supports employability initiatives, and leads outreach, marketing, and induction activities, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.

Career Biography 

Whisper is passionate about engineering education, with eight years of full-time teaching experience in higher education and five years in industry. Formerly a Senior Lecturer at North-West University, South Africa, he managed industry collaboration projects focused on plant asset integrity, risk assessment, and energy systems operations management.

His research explores the intersection of Technology, Innovation and Society, as well as sustainable engineering competency development, reflecting his commitment to preparing future engineers. Whisper’s expertise includes process optimisation, operations management, quality management, and energy efficiency, bridging academic and practical applications to inspire innovation in engineering education.
