Behind every lecture and project at UoP London is a deep passion for teaching, research, and professional growth. Alongside their academic contributions, staff are earning recognition that highlights the calibre of the London Campus community.
Don Samuel, Senior Lecturer in MSc Construction Project Management, has been nominated for the prestigious ICE London Mentor of the Year Award. This honour recognises individuals for their outstanding contribution to the professional development of others in civil engineering. Don will attend the awards ceremony with London Campus Principal Jonathan Sandling on 2nd October, where the winner will be announced. The university community is wishing him the very best in this well-deserved recognition.
Adding to these successes, Debashish Sengupta, Course Leader in International Business and Management, has earned his Senior Fellowship – the first awarded to a member of the London Campus. Deb credits the brilliant mentorship he received from Mark, alongside the strong advocacy and support from both Mark and Jonathan, for helping him achieve this milestone. His accomplishment is not only a personal success but also a proud moment for UoP London, reflecting the supportive and collaborative academic culture of the campus.
The achievements of staff have a direct impact on students, enriching their learning experience:
“We don’t just study theory, we get the chance to practice everything we learn with the guidance of our teachers, which makes the experience much more engaging.”
- Banke, master’s student in Digital Marketing
