The University of Portsmouth London has proudly held its inaugural graduation ceremony at the iconic Walthamstow Assembly Hall, a major milestone for the campus since opening its doors in early 2024.
The historic venue welcomed university leaders, staff, students, families, and honoured guests as they came together to celebrate the achievements of the campus’s first graduating class. Around 80 master’s-level students were recognised for completing programmes in Construction Project Management, Engineering Management, Information Systems, and Digital Marketing.
London Campus Principal, Jonathan Sandling, reflected on the significance of the day:
Our student speaker, Sana, delivered a heartfelt keynote on behalf of all graduating students, reflecting on her time at the London campus and the journey that brought her to this moment.
Holding the ceremony in Walthamstow, the home of the University’s London campus, was especially meaningful, celebrating the strong connection between the institution and the local community.
The University of Portsmouth London looks forward to building on this milestone as it continues to grow its campus in Waltham Forest and to welcoming many more students, families, and proud moments in the years to come.
