The University of Portsmouth London has officially launched London Pathway College (LPC), a dedicated new hub in central London designed to support international students as they prepare for undergraduate and postgraduate study.

The launch event took place at the London campus in Walthamstow, with invited guests including staff, students, and education agents. The college was officially opened by the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Sharon Waldron, who welcomed LPC to the borough and highlighted its role in widening access to higher education.

Based at the heart of Walthamstow, LPC delivers specialist foundation and pre-master’s programmes that provide a smooth transition into full degree study. The college offers a supportive academic environment tailored to the needs of students coming from different educational backgrounds, helping them build the skills, confidence, and language required for success in the UK.

Dr Libby Pearson, Director of London Pathway College, said:

At London Pathway College, we offer much more than just academic preparation, we create a welcoming, inclusive and personalised experience that helps every student feel ready for what’s next. We’re proud to be opening doors to university-level study for learners from all over the world

Dr Libby Pearson, Director of London Pathway College

With multiple intakes throughout the year, students can join LPC in September, February or May, offering flexibility and choice.

Students who complete a pathway programme at LPC are guaranteed progression to selected degree courses at the University of Portsmouth London campus located right in the heart of Waltham Forest, London’s creative borough known for its arts scene, independent shops and vibrant community.
