Deb was recently invited as a guest on the Staffroom Stories podcast. The podcast is hosted by Yvonne, founder of LocaeRise, a platform dedicated to helping schools and communities fund and deliver real‑world impact. In the episode, Running a School on Desert Logic | What Universities See After You've Done Your Best, Deb discusses the next generation of learners, the AI generation, and how universities and employers are adapting to meet their needs.

He shares his experience in preparing students for industry and the wider professional world, explaining how UoP London’s teaching approach is designed to help students build real‑world capabilities through authentic assessments and collaboration with industry educators and professionals. It’s an insightful conversation, particularly for those in senior leadership roles across education and business management.

Last week, Deb also took part as a panellist in a webinar organised by Atombit (UK) and The UK Contact Centre Forum, part of a three‑part series exploring the future of Customer Experience in the age of AI.

The first session, The Human Limit, examined:

  • Human resilience
  • Emotional load in CX (customer experience) roles
  • Where AI supports- and where it can't
  • What sustainable CX systems should look like

The upcoming sessions, The Machine Mind on 16 April and The New Frontier on 14 May, will continue to explore these themes. Deb draws on his extensive experience in higher education and future‑skills development to offer a distinctive perspective on how AI is shaping both the learner journey and the world of work.

Deb is actively contributing to vital conversations about how learning, teaching, and professional development are changing in a rapidly evolving world. His leadership on the MSc International Business and Management course ensures the programme remains forward‑thinking, industry‑aligned, and responsive to the realities students will encounter. Having Deb as part of our academic team at UoP London reflects our commitment to future‑focused education and to equipping learners with the skills and mindset needed to thrive.
