Legend Meets Legacy: Syed Kirmani Shares His Journey at the Stumped Book Launch
Last Friday, the Winter Garden at Juniper House hosted a special event celebrating the launch of Stumped, the autobiography of Indian cricket legend Syed Kirmani, co-written by our very own Professor Debashish Sengupta.
The afternoon kicked off with tea, coffee, and light snacks, followed by a lively fireside chat moderated by Jonathan, featuring Kirmani, Professor Sengupta, and Dakshesh. Attendees were given an exclusive insight into the world of cricket as stories were shared of Kirmani’s journey from humble beginnings to cricketing fame.
A fun cricket-themed quiz, hosted by Professor Sengupta, added a light-hearted moment before the highlight of the event: book and cricket merchandise signing. Students and staff eagerly queued for photos with Kirmani, making the most of the amazing opportunity to meet a sports icon in person.
