Earlier this week, my team and I had the chance to present our project to Bailey Mansfield, the Founder of Posable. Our focus of the project was on expanding Bailey’s brand into a new market. At first, this seemed like a great challenge. But as we got deeper into the project, I realised how much it was pushing me to grow. I had to really push myself, searching for materials, reading different articles, and pulling together research that would support our recommendations. Along the way, I discovered so much new information that I wouldn’t have come across otherwise.
What I liked most about this module was how research-based it was. It didn’t feel like a typical classroom assignment. Instead, it gave us hands-on experience that reflected what real-world marketing looks like. Having access to Posable’s analytics and real-life brand data made the project feel even more relevant- we weren’t just guessing, we were working with information that mattered.
Bailey was also very open and approachable throughout the process. He always welcomed our questions and even shared real-life insights about the brand. That made a huge difference, because it helped us connect our ideas with the reality of running and growing a business. During the presentation itself, his feedback pushed us to think more critically about our proposals and made me realise the importance of balancing creativity with practical strategy.
Looking back, the biggest take-away from this experience has been my confidence. Presenting to a founder felt like a big step, but it showed me that with the right preparation and research, it’s possible to take on challenges that first seem out of reach. I also learned how valuable persistence and curiosity are, not just in university projects, but in future career paths too.
Moving forward, this project has given me a stronger sense of direction. I’m more motivated to keep exploring marketing strategy and brand development, and I feel better prepared for the kind of challenges I might face in a professional role. Overall, the Posable project was an eye-opening experience that blended classroom learning with the real world, and I’m grateful for the lessons it taught me.
