Walthamstow's Lloyd Park buzzed with excitement on Saturday 13 July, as the University of Portsmouth London sponsored the highly anticipated Summer Disco Picnic.
The event drew hundreds of visitors who enjoyed a delightful array of local food, drinks, and unique items sold by community vendors.
The university was there to engage with attendees about the new London campus and the courses available, as well as distributing small plant pots with forget-me-not seeds, symbolizing growth and new beginnings.
Summer Disco Picnic organiser, Dominic Mandrell said, "Our Summer Disco Picnic was a massive success last Saturday! We had over 3000 people through the park during the day proving there's a massive appetite for the return of a Walthamstow Garden Party-style event in its spiritual home of Lloyd Park. We couldn't have pulled it off without the crucial sponsorship from University of Portsmouth London - they were our lifeline!"
