The building that houses the University of Portsmouth London campus has won the Residential Development Award at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor (RICS) Awards, held on Friday 04 October.

Designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards and built by Hill for the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the project embraces the concept of the ‘15-minute neighbourhood’.

This innovative development offers affordable homes with easy access to shops, restaurants, leisure facilities, and on-site amenities, including a nursery and classrooms for higher education. The University of Portsmouth London campus is a key part of this thoughtfully designed space.

A highlight of the project is its integration with nature. The building sits next to a park and features trees and green spaces, including a nursery garden, offering a tranquil environment for residents, students, and families to relax.

The award recognizes the development's forward-thinking approach, combining residential living with learning and community-focused amenities. The campus stands as a model for future urban residential projects.
