Jiahui is responsible for developing and delivering course curriculum across both undergraduate and postgraduate marketing programmes, ensuring that the content aligns with current industry standards and the quality expectations of higher education. In this role, Jiahui is dedicated to integrating cutting-edge research into the curriculum to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing practices.  

Jiahui is passionate about supporting student development and well-being. As part of this commitment, Jiahui offers mentorship and guidance beyond the classroom to help students navigate their academic journeys and prepare for future career opportunities

Biography

Jiahui Zhao has several years of experience in teaching and supporting a diverse range of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the UK HE sector. Before joining the University of Portsmouth, London, Jiahui was in the Marketing Department at Lancaster University to assist with module development, and provided academic support to students across various marketing courses such as ‘Introduction to Marketing’ and ‘Marketing Core Skills’. 

As a dedicated educator, Jiahui has been actively involved in enhancing the student learning experience through engaging teaching practices, offering personalized feedback, and creating an inclusive classroom environment.  

As a researcher, Jiahui specialises in sustainable marketing, consumer psychology, and marketing communications, adopting an interdisciplinary approach. Jiahui is currently working on several research publications that aim to address critical issues related to sustainable consumer behaviour and ethical marketing practices.
