Biography

Dr Gerald Milanzi is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Portsmouth, with over 15 years of experience shaping future marketing professionals.

His teaching career spans institutions such as Mzuzu University (Malawi), the University of Winchester, and the University of Leicester, where he earned his PhD in Management. Dr. Milanzi's research focuses on ethnic entrepreneurship within the broader context of African entrepreneurship, seeking to inform policy and support for ethnic-owned businesses.

His work also explores the decolonisation of knowledge frameworks, integrating African perspectives and traditions into the understanding of entrepreneurial activity. He is a member of the Interdisciplinary Network for Technology and Research in Africa (INTERA).
