Summary

Don's responsibilities include leading, as a member of the team, the teaching and enhancement of modules within the subject area of construction project management for postgraduate courses, including marking and verification of assessments.

It also includes leading the continuing development and enhancement of the curriculum and teaching through overseeing subject group meetings and engaging with the team-based learning design process and ensuring teaching material is current, high quality and engaging. Additionally, it includes engaging in research and/or knowledge transfer activities that align with the ambitions and vision of the University as well as undertaking scholarly activities and CPD to maintain concurrency of knowledge.

Biography

Don possesses over 7 years of academic experience and 21 years of industry experience which includes 11 years at a senior management level. In his career, he has managed over 200 civil engineering projects with a total net worth of £60 million. His current Research Gate Interest Score is 40.4 with 4,922  reads of 5 publications.

His research work has a total of 11 citations in 11 countries. His academic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, a master's degree in construction management and a doctorate in construction management with a specialization in construction procurement.

Don is triple chartered, i.e. a chartered civil engineer, chartered manager, and a chartered construction manager. He also possesses a project management professional. Don has raised the profession of civil engineering and construction management via seminar | conference hosting, media appearances and public advocacy.
