Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in Construction Project Management
As the course leader for the MSc in Construction Project Management, Mehran holds primary responsibility for the comprehensive development and academic performance of the program. This role entails overseeing the curriculum to ensure it meets the highest educational standards and aligns with industry needs.
He collaborates closely with a team of senior lecturers to design and develop modules, employing innovative approaches to enhance student engagement and facilitate active blended learning. By integrating contemporary teaching methods and leveraging technology, he ensures that the coursework remains dynamic and relevant, preparing students for successful careers in the construction project management field.
His leadership extends to mentoring faculty, fostering a collaborative academic environment, and continuously evaluating and refining the program to maintain its excellence.

Career Biography
Mehran boasts nearly two decades of distinguished academic experience in postgraduate higher education, coupled with over a decade of impactful industrial experience. His teaching career spans prestigious institutions across the globe, including the University of Santa Clara (US), Sharif University of Technology (Iran), ETH Zurich (Switzerland), and the University of Northampton (UK).
During his tenure at Sharif University of Technology, Mehran developed and founded the highly regarded Operations and Project Management pathway, which he successfully managed for over eight years. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Mehran's professional journey includes over ten years in major US corporations such as Xerox, Oracle, and Bechtel International. His industrial experience is marked by expertise in Project Management and Procurement techniques.
Mehran has a proven track record in cost estimation and innovation, with a demonstrated ability to manage key performance indicators and variation indicators to ensure successful project delivery, performance improvement, and risk management.
Mehran holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (US) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Association (UK). His professional stature is further highlighted by his role as a keynote speaker for the IPMA Congress and his contributions as a Lead Assessor for IPMA’s Project Excellence Award. Mehran’s blend of academic prowess and hands-on industry experience underscores his unique ability to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making him a respected figure in both educational and professional circles.
